See what your AI agent is doing with SemKey and why it matters.

What is SemKey doing for your agent?

Your AI agent or crawler scrapes content from across the web. Much of that content says the same thing in different words — the same news story rewritten 50 times, the same product description on 20 retailers, the same fact quoted everywhere. Without SemKey, your agent processes all of it, wasting money on embedding, storage, and AI summarization.

SemKey gives your agent a fast "have I seen this meaning before?" check. When content is a duplicate, your agent skips the expensive work. When it is genuinely new or an update, your agent processes it. The result: your agent runs faster, costs less, and keeps a cleaner record of what it knows.

HOW IT WORKS (PLAIN ENGLISH)

What is a SemKey?

Think of it like a fingerprint for meaning. Just like your fingerprint identifies you regardless of what clothes you wear, a SemKey identifies an idea regardless of how it's worded. Two articles about 'stocks rising 3%' get similar SemKeys even if the words are completely different.

What does 'deduplication' mean?

Your agent finds the same information repeated across many sources. Deduplication means recognizing 'I already know this' and skipping the repeat. This saves money on AI processing, database storage, and compute time.

What are 'facts' and 'conflicts'?

A fact is something your agent learned: 'Tesla stock is $248.' If later it finds 'Tesla stock is $255,' that's an update. If it finds both at the same time from different sources, that's a conflict. SemKey tracks all of this automatically.

Why does my agent pay crypto?

AI agents don't have credit cards. Crypto lets your agent pay for services autonomously, without needing a human to approve each transaction. The cost is tiny — about $1 per 1,000 meaning checks.

Is my data safe?

SemKey stores fingerprints and short text snippets, not your full documents. The fingerprints are one-way: you can't reconstruct the original content from a SemKey, just like you can't reconstruct a face from a fingerprint.

How much money does this save?

Every duplicate your agent skips saves about $0.015 in downstream costs (AI embedding, storage, summarization). If your agent processes 10,000 items/day and 50% are duplicates, that's $75/day saved for about $5/day in SemKey costs. A 15x return.
